Arshad Yassin Rashid Najm Al-Nasiri (1949 - January 12, 2022) is one of President Saddam Hussein's famous bodyguards, his cousin and his maternal sister's husband, Nawal Ibrahim al-Hassan. In 1985 he was a first lieutenant, and his last military rank was a major general. Saddam Hussein deposed him, then accused him of smuggling antiquities. And media outlets reported that Arshad has been receiving his pension since 2005 as a retired major general, and for a time he was a member of the Baath Party's regional leadership.
