The Emirates is an Arab country in Asia in the Arabian Gulf, bordered on the north by the Arabian Gulf and on the east by the Gulf of Oman. The Emirates have borders on the west and south with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and on the east the Sultanate of Oman. The Emirates is famous for its urban development and its friendly relations with the Arab countries. The main reason is the policy that Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan used to follow with all countries, especially the Arab countries.

History

Emirates is the plural of the word emirate because the Emirates is made up of seven different emirates: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras al-Khaimah, Umm al-Quwain, Ajman, and Fujairah. Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Umm al-Quwain, Ajman and Fujairah joined the union in 1971, while Ras al-Khaimah joined the union a year after the union of the six emirates and formed the United Arab Emirates under the leadership of the ruler of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Zayed.
