The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, or the United Kingdom in short, is a sovereign country that brings together the peoples of England, Scotland, Wales (Great Britain) and Northern Ireland, located in the northwest of the European continent, surrounded by the North Sea, the English Channel and the Atlantic Ocean. The largest island of the United Kingdom is Great Britain and is connected to France by the Channel Tunnel. The United Kingdom is a federation consisting of four countries: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. They are governed by a parliamentary system and the seat of government is in London.

The United Kingdom is made up of about 1098 small islands. And the four largest branches are four different nations: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The United Kingdom was formed in the first place when the kings of England were able to rule Wales, and in 1603 when James VI, King of Scotland inherited the throne of the Kingdom of England and Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland remained under his rule

The National Health Service, or NHS, is the government-funded healthcare system in the United Kingdom. NHS consists of four separate systems. NHS England, NHS Scotland, NHS Wales and NHS Northern Ireland
