Jahiliyah or the pre-Islamic era, is a name that is said about a period in the Arabian Peninsula before the advent of Islam. Life in it included customs, beliefs and morals, most notably woman, courage, honoring a guest, protecting one’s neighbor, making a pilgrimage to Mecca every year, sanctifying the Black Stone, abstaining from fighting in the sacred months, and operating markets such as Souk Okaz. The Bassous war is considered one of the most famous wars that took place in the pre-Islamic era in the Arabian Peninsula.
