Søren Kierkegaard's philosophy influenced theistic existential philosophies (opposite the atheistic existentialism of the French philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre). Among the most famous who influenced him and spread his ideas were the German philosopher Karl Jaspers and the Protestant theologian Karl Barth.
