Sham El-Nessim or Sham El-Nessim is an ancient Egyptian feast from about 2700 BC, meaning a holiday that is more than 4,700 years old. The name Sham El-Nessim comes from the word Shamo, which is a hieroglyphic word. The festival of Sham El-Nessim for the ancient Egyptians announced the beginning of life, because the ancient Egyptians saw that spring is the beginning of life (because flowers bloom in spring and the plants come out of the ground). And sardines, onions and lettuce, and every need of them symbolizes a symbol. Like eggs that are a symbol of the exit of life, because the chick comes out of inanimate matter. And fesikh or salted fish in general was an expression from the ancient Egyptians of his love for the Nile (because fish comes from the Nile). And onions, which were a symbol of life for the ancient Egyptians, and they hung it on the walls of their homes (as is the case until now). The celebration of Sham El-Nessim for the ancient Egyptians was a popular festival that began with the rising of the sun today, and the Egyptians used to spend it in the gardens and on the Nile River and the places where it was planted. And it will be Sham El-Nessim on the Monday after Easter, which will be the day of Eid. Sham El-Nessim, the oldest popular holiday in the world, is proud of the Egyptians as it is a special holiday for them and Egypt, regardless of their religious beliefs. Many aspects of the Egyptian celebration of Sham El-Nessim have moved to other regions in the world and even Europe. Sham El-Nessim has nothing to do with the Egyptian Nowruz festival, which is the feast of the Coptic year in the first month of Tot, and when a carnival was held in Cairo.
