Hatoor (Coptic: ϩⲁⲑⲱⲣ), is the third month in the Coptic (Egyptian) year, and comes between November 11 and December 9 in the Gregorian calendar. The month of Hatour is also the third month in the akhet (flood season) in ancient Egypt, when the Nile River overflows and covers all the lands of Egypt. Hator is the name that the ancient Egyptians called the planet Venus, and they were the gods of beauty, because the crops in his time were decorating the earth. The name of this month is from Hathor, the ancient Egyptian goddess of love and beauty.
