Antonio Gasset Dubois
Antonio Gasset Dubois (Madrid, May 19, 1946 - Madrid, September 29, 2021) was a Spanish journalist, television presenter and film critic. He was the director and presenter of the TVE program Días de cine, awarded in 2002 with the ATV prize for the best informative program.
He was the second nephew of the philosopher José Ortega i Gasset. During the 1970s and early 1980s he participated in several Spanish films and documentaries as an actor, screenwriter and director. In 1994 she began as director of the program Días de cine with Aitana Sánchez-Gijón as presenter of the space, which she replaced a year later. On September 23, 2003, it premiered the Off Cinema television space, again directed and presented by Gasset himself, with the aim of disseminating independent cinema.
On December 20, 2007, the last Días de cine directed and presented by Antonio Gasset was broadcast, which was included in RTVE's employment regulation dossier. A particular feature of its way of presenting it was the surprising phrases, in the key of humor and irony, which he often let go. Some examples:
