Miquel Roqué i Farrero

Miquel Roqué i Farrero, better known as Miki Roqué, (Tremp, July 8, 1988 - Barcelona, ​​June 24, 2012) was a Catalan footballer who played central defense for Liverpool FC and Real Betis Balompié.


Trained in the lower categories of CF Tremp and after UE Lleida, in August 2005 he was incorporated into Liverpool Football Club by coach Rafael Benítez. His debut with the English team was, at the age of 17, on December 5, 2006 in a Champions League match against Galatasaray Spor Kulübü. In the ranks of Liverpool FC he won the English Youth Football Cup against Manchester City FC. The following season Roqué was loaned to Oldham Athletic and the winter market to Xerez CD, where he played the second round. He was later transferred to FC Cartagena for the 2008/09 season. In the summer of 2009 he signed for Real Betis Balompié for three seasons. In March 2011, he was diagnosed with a malignant tumor in his pelvis that killed him in June 2012.
