Salima Mukansanga (Rwanda, 1988) is a Rwandan football referee.

Biography

Salima Mukansanga, born in 1988, started in international refereeing in 2012. In 2017 she refereed a national team match at the 2017 CAF Women’s Under-20 Championship qualifying for the 2018 U-20 Women’s Soccer World Cup between Kenya and Ethiopia. In 2018, she was a central referee at the 2018 U-17 Women’s Soccer World Cup in Uruguay, and refereed some Algarve Cup matches. She was also one of the referees at the 2019 Women's Soccer World Cup, which was held in France. In 2022, she made history by becoming the first woman to referee an African Cup of Nations match in the men's category.
