Ťia-sing
Jiaxing (Chinese pinyin Jiāxīng, characters 嘉兴) is a city-prefecture in the People's Republic of China, where it belongs to Zhejiang Province in East China. The entire prefecture covers an area of 3,915 square kilometers and has a population of over three million.
Location
Jiaxing lies on the northern edge of Zhejiang Province on the Grand Canal. It borders Hangzhou in the southwest, Huzhou in the west, Shanghai in the northeast, and Jiangsu province in the north.
Administrative division
Jiaxing Municipal Prefecture is divided into seven county-level units, namely two urban districts, three urban districts, and two counties.
