Johannes Vilhelm Jensen (January 20, 1879 - November 25, 1950) was a Danish writer who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1944. Jensen is credited with being the greatest Danish writer of the twentieth century. He won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1944. One of her sisters, Thet Jensen, was one of the most famous and controversial writers of the early feminist movement.

Life

He was born in a village in northern Jutland, Denmark. His father was a veterinarian and that is why he grew up in a rural area. While studying medicine at the University of Copenhagen, he began writing to support his education. After three years of study, he decided to change jobs and devoted his entire time to literature.
