Vincent Edward "Vin" Scully (November 29, 1927 Bronx, New York, United States – August 2, 2022) was an American sports commentator. He collaborated with the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball club from the 1950s until the 2010s. Scully also made an impact in other sports. In 1982, the Baseball Hall of Fame awarded him the Ford C. Frick Award. She was also awarded a Lifetime Achievement Emmy and places in the Radio Hall of Fame and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Scully appeared as herself in the movie Love to Play (1999). Secret Folders TV series creator Chris Carter is a Los Angeles Dodgers fan and said he named Gillian Anderson's character Dana Scully after Vin Scully.
