Emiliano Aguirre Enríquez, born October 25, 1925 in Ferrol and died October 11, 2021, is a Spanish paleontologist. He was the first research director at the prehistoric site of the Sierra d'Atapuerca, from 1978 until his retirement in 1990. He has been a member of the Royal Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences since 1998 and appointed honorary doctorate of the University of Burgos in 2007.
