The Treaty of Athis-sur-Orge (currently Athis-Mons) was signed between France and Flanders on June 23, 1305 after the Battle of Mons-en-Pévèle. In its terms, the châtellenies of Lille, Douai and Orchies are ceded to France, in return, Flanders preserves its independence as a stronghold of the kingdom.
