The founding principles of Wikipedia set the main lines that define Wikipedia and the conditions for its development. They constitute the intangible foundation of all the rules and recommendations of the project and are five in number: encyclopaedia, neutrality of point of view, freedom of content, community etiquette and flexibility of the rules.
