2022 Winter Olympics
A XXIV. the Winter Olympics will be held from February 4 to February 20, 2022 in Beijing, China.
The host city was selected by the International Olympic Committee at its 128th IOC meeting on July 31, 2015 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
By March 14, 2014, 5 cities had submitted applications for the right to host the Olympics. Of these, Krakow and Lviv, followed by Oslo, later withdrew.
Beijing, China (with Changchiang City)
Stockholm, SwedenThe city announced its intention to leave in November 2013, but withdrew in January 2014, citing high costs.
Krakow, Poland (together with Zakopane and Jasna, Slovakia) On 25 May 2014, at the same time as the European Parliament elections, the city decided to withdraw the application in a referendum. 36 per cent of those eligible to vote cast their ballots, 69.7 per cent of whom did not support the Olympic Games. After the vote, the possibility arose to continue the tender, in which Zakopane would be the host city.
Lviv, Ukraine In June 2014, following talks between Thomas Bach (Chairman of the IOC), Arseny Jacenyuk (Prime Minister of Ukraine) and Sergei Bubka (Chairman of the Ukrainian Olympic Committee), the city withdrew its intention to settle, citing current Ukrainian political and economic circumstances.
Oslo, NorwayThe smaller Norwegian ruling party indicated in May 2014 and the larger one in October that it did not support the settlement tender. Oslo then stepped back.

USA, Salt Lake City
Canada, QuébecQuébec Province has indicated that it is applying to host the 2022 Winter Olympics. At the 2010 Winter Olympics, the Vancouver organizers omitted the French language in the announcement of the results, making the province of Quebec dissatisfied.
Chile, Santiago de Chile
Spain, BarcelonaThe city of Jordi Hereu, the mayor of the Catalan capital, has announced his intention to apply. Indoor races would be held in the city, the rest in sports centers in the Pyrenees. Barcelona previously hosted the 1992 Summer Olympics. Spain, Zaragoza Spain, Zaragoza, Huesca and Jaca would jointly submit an application for the Olympics. Spain is not bidding for the 2018 Games because it is believed that it will not be given the right to host a European city after the 2014 Sochi Olympics in Sochi. Poland, Zakopane
Romania, Prahova Valley In 2007, Prime Minister Calin Popescu-Tăriceanu suggested that Romania host the Olympics.
In July 2018, they were included in the Olympic program: ski jump mixed team, ski aerobics women's and men's big air and mixed team jump, snowboard cross team, women's singles, short track speed skating mixed team relay. The changes will reduce the number of starters in ski shooting and skating. In women's hockey, ten countries can start teams instead of eight.

In early January 2022, North Korea wrote to the Chinese authorities that its athletes would not run for the Winter Olympics, citing “the action of enemy forces and the epidemic” as the reason.
Like the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, there were calls for a boycott of the Olympics. Due to the 2019-20 protests in Hong Kong, Chinese wolf diplomacy and the Uyghur genocide, several called for a boycott of the 2022 Games. In a letter dated 30 July 2020, the Uyghur World Congress urged the IOC to
