Elon Musk Originally known as Elon Reeve Musk, FRS (Pretoria, June 28, 1971 -) is an American engineer, entrepreneur and billionaire innovator of South African descent, the richest man in the world. Honorary Doctor of Surrey University. Its designations include Zip2, X.com, PayPal, SpaceX, Tesla Inc., SolarCity, The Boring Company, Neuralink, the Starlink Project and Hyperloop. According to the market value of companies linked to Musk - Tesla shares rose to a record high on Thursday, bringing the company’s stock market value above Facebook for the first time - Elon Musk’s assets reached $ 188 billion, making him the world’s richest man by 2021 for January of this year. In 2021, Time magazine named him Man of the Year.

His maternal grandfather, Dr. Joshua Haldeman, was of American descent, while his paternal grandmother was of British and Pennsylvania ancestry. He migrated to Canada from his native South Africa at the age of 17 because he wanted to emigrate to America, but only received Canadian citizenship. He studied physics and economics at university, then left Canada after two degrees and moved to the United States. He was admitted to Stanford University in California, but left there almost immediately, two days later. He claims to “address major issues that affect the future of humanity”. His first major business catch was the sale of a game program called Blastar, which he wrote at the age of 12. He received a total of $ 500 for this program. He later founded an internet company called Zip2 in 1995 with his younger brother, Kimbal Muskkal. It sold it to Compaq for $ 341 million in 1999. He invested the money in setting up X.com. The company merged with PayPal a few years later, which became one of the dominant services on the Internet a few years later. EBay bought the company for $ 1.5 billion in October 2002. Musk then founded SpaceX in 2002 with the goal of revolutionizing space flight, making it easier to reach space, and allowing human society to gain a foothold on multiple planets. His goal was to develop a space capsule on his own that could later transport people to the International Space Station. The development of the capsule took nearly ten years, but in the end it was a success. The Dragon spacecraft successfully launched into orbit around the Earth and then joined the International Space Station in 2012. And by 2020, it had already delivered two astronauts to the space station. SpaceX, owned and developed by Elon Musk, was the first to develop a returnable, reusable Falcon 9 launch vehicle, drastically reducing the cost of launching it around Earth. Building on the benefits of cost-effective orbit, Musk has launched the Starlink project, which aims to provide global Internet access, an Internet service over the entire surface of the Earth. In 2004, Tesla Motors, an automotive startup founded in 2003 by Martin Eberhard, Marc Tarpenning and Ian Wright, invested $ 6.5 million in private assets to develop and manufacture electric cars and build the charging grid needed to charge them. The founders of the company also approached many other investors, but only Musk saw enough imagination in the company’s vision, the main goal of which - to reduce U.S. dependence on oil - itself agreed. With his investment, Musk became the company’s major shareholder and president of the company, investing tens of millions more dollars in the company to start over in the following years. The company has several series in ten years
