Uma Karuna Thurman (Boston, Massachusetts, April 29, 1970 -) is a Golden Globe Award-winning and Oscar-nominated American actress.
His mother is a psychotherapist, his father a Tibetan Buddhist monk and a university professor. Uma left high school to move to New York. She worked as a model, her first film role as a vampire in Kiss Daddy Goodnight. After 1988's Dangerous Relationships, she became an actress shaping erotic characters. In the years that followed, he starred in several major roles, but became truly known through the film Ponyvaregény (1994). She was also nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for shaping drug addict Mia Wallace. He later played in comedies.
Woody Allen directed The Second Best Guitarist in the World. after the film, Uma returned to her modeling career as an advertising brand for Lancome. Empire Magazine has ranked it among the 100 Sexiest Stars in Film History. Uma was the wife of actor Gary Oldman from 1990 to 1992 and even had relationships with Timothy Hutton and Robert De Niro. He later married Ethan Hawke, who was also his film partner in Gattaca, and was introduced to filming it. They had two children: a daughter, Maya Ray, in 1998, and a son, Levon Roan, in 2002. They divorced in 2005.
Her third child (little girl) was born in 2012 from her relationship with Arpad Busson.
