Fonterra Co-operative Group Limited is a New Zealand multinational dairy cooperative owned by 10600 New Zealand farmers. The company accounts for 30% of the world's dairy exports and with revenues of NZ$19.87 billion making it New Zealand's largest company. In 2013, the company was rocked by rumors about the presence of botulism-causing bacteria in its dairy products. But New Zealand's Ministry of Primary Industries has announced the results of laboratory tests showing Fonterra mistakenly identified the bacteria, which did not pose a health threat.
