The Thailand national football team (Thai: , RTGS: futbon thim chat thai, pronunciation [fút.bɔ̄n tʰīːm t͡ɕʰâːt tʰāj]) is the national team that represents Thailand in senior men's international football. The team is controlled by the Football Association of Thailand, which is a member of FIFA as well as a member of the Asian Football Confederation. Thailand has never appeared in a FIFA World Cup. At the regional level, Thailand has made seven appearances in the AFC Asian Cup, with their best result being third in 1972, when they hosted the tournament. At the Southeast Asian level, Thailand has won five editions of the AFF Championship, namely in 1996, 2000, 2002, 2014 and 2016.
