The National Diet Library of Japan (国立 国会 図 書館 Kokuritsu Kokkai Toshokan?) Is Japan's only national library.

History

The library was founded in 1948 with the purpose of helping and assisting members of the National Diet of Japan (国会 Kokkai?) In their work of public administration. The purposes and purposes of the library are similar to those of the US Library of Congress. It is made up of two main branches, in Tōkyō and in Kyōto, plus other smaller branches.
