David Card (Guelph, 1956) is a Canadian economist, winner of the Nobel Prize for Economics in 2021 together with Guido W. Imbens and Joshua Angrist. Card has made fundamental contributions to research on immigration, education, vocational training and social inequality.
Card studied at Princeton University where, in 1983, he received his doctorate. He is a lecturer at Berkeley University.
