Flunk are a Norwegian musical group formed in 2000 in Oslo.

The band saw the light as a project between Ulf and Jo in Oslo in the winter of 2000. They recorded a track as part of a Beatservice Records compilation in 2001. When the label's manager, Vidar Hanssen, listened to the song, he signed the as-yet-unnamed band for an entire album. During the summer of 2001 Ulf and Jo recorded most of the album and Anja improvised the lyrics. In the spring of 2002, the band took the name of Flunk and released their first single, a cover of New Order's New Order, in April. The track was popular in England and was included in numerous compilations in North America and Europe. Later, in April, their debut album For Sleepyheads Only was released and was a great success. The BBC invited the band to make a recording for the radio show The Blue Room. In the United States, they signed a contract with Guidance Recordings. In the summer of 2002, the band received rave reviews from British electronic music magazines and in July they played at the Finest rock festival in Norway. In October For Sleepyheads Only was released in the United States by Guidance Recordings. Beatservice Records then released Treat Me Like You Do - For Sleepyheads Only Remixed in June. Although the first album was still in vogue, the band wasted no time and began work on the second album which was recorded in Paris in October. Morning Star was released in May 2004 in Norway and in June in the rest of the world. In 2005, Play America was released for Beatservice Records and includes some bonus tracks and remixes. In 2007 Flunk released their fourth album, Personal Stereo, and in May 2009 This Is What You Get, which includes a cover of Radiohead's Karma Police. In 2013 it is the turn of Lost Causes, released on April 22nd. In 2017 a new album entitled Chemistry and Math was released.
