The 2022 Hungarian Grand Prix was the thirteenth round of the 2022 Formula 1 World Championship season. The race was held on Sunday 31 July at the Hungaroring circuit in Budapest, Hungary, and was won by Dutchman Max Verstappen. on Red Bull Racing-RBPT, his 28th career success; Verstappen preceded under the checkered flag the two British Mercedes drivers, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell. The entire race weekend was attended by 290,000 spectators, a new record for the Hungarian Grand Prix at the Hungaroring.

Technical aspects

For this Grand Prix Pirelli, the sole tire supplier, offers the choice between C2, C3 and C4 compound tires, the type of tires that characterize the central range of the kind of tires made available by the Italian company, the same choice used in the French Grand Prix, which took place the previous week.
