Joshua David Angrist (Columbus, September 18, 1960) is an American economist and academic of Israeli origin, winner of the Nobel Prize for Economics in 2021 together with Guido W. Imbens and David Card.

Biography

He has been a lecturer at Harvard University and in Jerusalem at Hebrew University. He teaches economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and is co-founder and co-director of MIT's School Effectiveness & Inequality Initiative, which studies the relationship between human capital and income inequality in the United States.
