UTEC (University of Toronto Electronic Computer Mark I) was a computer built at the University of Toronto (UofT) in the early 1950s. It was the first computer built in Canada, as well as one of the first working in the world, although made only in the form of a propotype pending funds to build one on a large scale. These funds were then used for Manchester Mark 1 by Ferranti in England and UTEC quickly disappeared.
