Metropolis is a large city that is the economic and cultural center of the country and also a hub for international cooperation. It is also translated as a large city. After World War II, the world promoted industrialization, resulting in rapid urbanization as a result of population concentration. In this process, the central city of a certain region and the surrounding small and medium-sized cities combine to form a single mega city, which is called a metropolis. If this megacity grows bigger, it develops into megalopolis, and eventually transitions to ecumenopolis, where the entire world is urbanized.
