Ben Affleck (born August 15, 1972) is an American actor, film director, film producer, and screenwriter. Affleck began his career as a child actor in the PBS educational series The Voyage of the Mimi (1984, 1988). He has since appeared in several films, including the adult comedy Dumb and Confused (1993) and Kevin Smith's Mollats (1995), Chasing Army (1997) and Dogma (1999). Affleck co-founded the production company Live Planet with Matt Damon, and in 2012 founded the film production company Pearl Street Films.
