An island nation, an island nation, or an island nation is a nation whose territory consists only of islands. All sides of the country are surrounded by the sea. The opposite concept of an island country is a landlocked country. Australia is surrounded by sea on all sides, but the continent is not classified as an island. In the case of Korea, in history, Usan-guk and Tamna-guk were island countries.
