Wikipedia: What's New
What's New serves as a link to the reader in the main page to read updated documents related to recent events. What's new helps to create a great encyclopedia, which is the core purpose of Wikipedia.
Unlike Wikinews, which is Wikipedia's sister project, Wikipedia is not a newspaper and does not allow reader research. However, many Wikipedia users create encyclopedic articles inspired by hourly interests.
New posts can be edited in Template:New Posts, and only automatically authenticated users can edit them. Also, the news listed in New News are listed in chronological order, with the most recent news at the top. News are not randomly placed by importance.
