June 22: Teacher's Day in El Salvador 1611 - Henry Hudson (pictured), an English explorer, goes missing during a revolt by sailors. 1906 - The flag of Sweden is established. 1941 - World War II: German and other Axis forces begin Operation Barbarossa and invade the Soviet Union. Three years later, on the same day, the Red Army launched Operation Bagration, a revenge operation. 1965 - Korea-Japan Basic Treaty is signed. 1986 - Diego Maradona, an Argentinian footballer, scores a goal by touching the ball with his hand in the 1986 FIFA World Cup quarter-final match against England.
