1923 - Great Kanto Earthquake: An earthquake occurs in the Kanto region of Japan. In the chaos right after the earthquake, 6,000 Koreans living in Japan were killed with bamboo spears wielded by military police and vigilantes.

2011 - Culture Broadcasting merged with several local broadcasting companies, including Jinju Cultural Broadcasting and Changwon Cultural Broadcasting, and launched as MBC Gyeongnam.
2014 - Culture Broadcasting Company officially moved to a new office building in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul after ending the era of Yeouido office building.
