Alina Reh (born 23 May 1997 in Laichingen) is a German athlete who represents the club SCC Berlin. She competes primarily in long-distance running, cross-country running and street running. She won bronze individually during the European Championships in cross-country skiing in 2021, and has gold in the 10,000 meters from the U23 European Championships in athletics 2019 and gold in the 3,000 meters and 5,000 meters from the Junior European Championships in athletics in 2015. She has several German championships in athletics.

Sports career

2012

Reh won a number of regional championships in 2012, including 1500 meters in the U18 class during the Karlsruhe regional indoor championships and 1500 meters in the U18 class during the Karlsruhe regional outdoor championships. In the German U18 championship in athletics, she came in second place in the 3000 meters, 15 years old.

2013

She participated in the German championship of 10,000 meters in 2013, where she won the U20 class, and she won 1500 meters during the Jugend-Gala in Schweinfurt. In July, she participated in the Youth World Championships in Athletics 2013 (U18), and came in fifth place in 3000 meters with a time of 9: 20.99. She became German U18 champion in 3000 meters and German U20 champion in 5000 meters, and also became German U18 champion in cross country in 2013. She participated in the European Championships in cross country 2013, and came in fifth place in the junior class, and Germany got bronze in the team competition.

2014

During the German Junior Indoor Championships in 2014, she came in fourth place in the 1500 meters. Outdoors, she won the 5000 meters in the U20 class during the German championship of 10,000 meters, with a new German junior record of 15: 55.82. She came in second place in the 1500 meters during the Bauhaus Junior Gala in Mannheim, and won 3000 meters during the German U18 championship in athletics. She participated in the Summer Olympics for Youth 2014 in Nanjing in China, and came second in the 3000 meters, behind Nozomi Musembi Takamatsu from Japan. In cross-country she became German U18 champion, and during the European Championships in cross-country 2014 she came fourth in junior class (U20), where Germany again won bronze in the team competition. She set a German U18 record in the 10 km street race when she ran into fifth place in the ASICS Grand 10 with a time of 33:32.

2015

On February 22, she won bronze in the 3000 meters during the German Indoor Athletics Championships, earning her first national senior medal in athletics. She won both 3000 meters and 5000 meters during the Junior European Championships in Athletics 2015 in Eskilstuna, and in July she won 5000 meters during the German Championships in Athletics 2015. She also won 3000 meters during the German Junior Championships in Athletics in August, and in September she won bronze in the German championship in 10 km street racing, where she won the junior class. During the European Championships in cross-country racing in 2015, she won bronze in the junior class, and won gold in the team competition in the same class.

2016

She came in second place in the 3000 meters during the German indoor championship in 2016, behind the Konstanze Klosterhalfen. Outdoors, she won again 5,000 meters in the U20 class during the German championship of 10,000 meters. During the U20 WC in athletics 2016, she came in ninth place in 5000 meters, with a new German U20 record of 15: 41.62. In July, she won 3000 meters and 5000 meters during the German junior championship in athletics. In December, she participated in the European Championships in cross-country running 2016, where she came fourth in the junior class, and won silver in the team competition with Lisa Oed, Miriam Dattke and Antonia Schiel.

2017

Reh won the 3000 meters during the German indoor championship, with a new personal record of 8: 53.56, which was the first time she ran under 9 minutes. She was selected to participate in the European Indoor Athletics Championships 2017, and ended up in eighth place. Outdoors, she came in second place in the 1500 meters during the German U23 championship in athletics. She participated in her first Team EC when she represented Germany during the Team EC in athletics 2017, and she came in third place in 5000 meters. Germany won the Super League in this championship.
