Eva Kristin Hansen (born 5 March 1973) is a Norwegian politician (Labor Party) who has represented Sør-Trøndelag in the Storting since 2005, and has been President of the Storting since 9 October 2021.

Background and work

She has studied at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and at the municipal master's program at Oslo University College. She has worked in various positions in No to the EU, LO, Rissa municipality, Arbeidernes ungdomsfylking and the Norwegian Association of Local Authorities. From 2000 to 2002 she was head of AUF. At the national meeting in 2002, she lost a match vote against Gry Larsen by 3 votes. From 2006, she is the leader of the Sør-Trøndelag Labor Party, having been deputy leader from 2003. She was a city council member in Trondheim 2003–2005 and a deputy member of the county council 1995–1999.
