The Queen Sonja Print Award is an art award given to graphic artists. The prize was established in 2011 by Queen Sonja, and was first awarded in 2012. The H.M. Queen Sonja's artist scholarship was established on 14 January 2011 by the Queen together with the visual artists Kjell Nupen, Ørnulf Opdahl and Ole Larsen. The prize was first established as a Nordic prize, Queen Sonja Nordic Art Award, but was expanded to an international impact from 2014. In 2014, the foundation established a scholarship in memory of Kjell Nupen, Kjell Nupen Memorial Grant awarded to a young, promising Nordic graphic artist . The award was later renamed the QSPA Inspirational Award.
