It is a soft, silvery-white metal belonging to the group of alkali metals in the periodic table. Under standard conditions, it is the lightest metal and the solid element with the least density. Lithium, like all alkali metals, is highly reactive and combustible, and for this reason it is usually stored in mineral oil. When cut open, it exhibits a metallic luster, but on contact with moist air, the surface quickly corrodes to a dull, silvery-gray color and later faded black. Due to its high reactivity, lithium never occurs freely in nature. Lithium is found in a number of pegmatitic minerals, but due to its solubility as an ion, it is present in seawater and is typically extracted from salt storage and clay. At the commercial level, lithium is electrolytically isolated from a mixture of lithium chloride and potassium chloride. The theory deals with conditions such as: the formation and disappearance of oceans, the cause of earthquakes and active volcanoes, the folding of rock material in mountain ranges, the distribution of fossil animals and plants and finally the continents' changing size and location throughout geological history. The realization of plate tectonics emerged on the basis of two geological observations: the deep cracks along the middle of the ocean floor and the continental movements that it explains at once. The tectonic cycle started 3.3 billion years ago. Although Hans' father Christian I had made sure that the son was already as a child appointed to the throne at meetings representing the three Nordic kingdoms, it was after Christian I's death in 1481 only in Denmark that Hans relatively could take over the throne smoothly. In Norway it was only after some negotiations and strife that Hans succeeded in being recognized as king in 1483, and the same year he was also hailed in the duchies, but in Sweden the negotiations on the transfer of royal dignity to Hans developed into a game about how much or a little power the king should have, and only when the Swedes got tired of the head of state Sten Sture the Elder in 1497 did Hans see an opportunity to strike.
