Askar Uzakbajuly Mamin (Casimir Асқар Ұзақбайұлы Мамин; born October 23, 1965 in Celinograd) - Kazakh politician and economist, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan from February 21, 2019 to January 5, 2022 (acting until February 25, 2019).

Curriculum vitae

He graduated from the Celinograd Institute of Civil Engineering and the Russian Economic University of Plekhanov in Moscow. In 2005–2006 he was the minister of transport and communication, and in 2006–2008 he was the mayor of Astana. In the years 2008–2016 he was the president of Kazakstan Temyr Żoły - a state railway carrier. On September 9, 2016, he was appointed to the government of Bakytzhan Sagyntayev as deputy prime minister. On February 25, 2019, President Nursultan Nazarbayev appointed him as Prime Minister of the government.
