Klaus Hasselmann (born October 25, 1931 in Hamburg) - German physicist, Nobel Prize winner in 2021, which he received "for physically modeling the Earth's climate, quantifying variability and reliably predicting global warming." From 1975 to 1999, Hasselmann was director of the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology.
