Tadeusz Wurst (born September 30, 1934 in Dobrzyń on the Vistula, died February 16, 2015 in Krakow) - Polish teacher, educational and sports activist. In 1973, he was the originator and organizer of the first edition of the Electric and Electronic Knowledge Olympiad, which has been organized nationwide since the 1990s.
In 1966 he graduated from the AGH University of Science and Technology, Faculty of Electrical Engineering. He continued his studies at the Pedagogical University in Krakow. From 1953 he worked as a teacher. First at the Vocational School in Kraków-Podgórze, and from 1956 at the School of Building Crafts in Nowa Huta. In 1958 he was employed at the Basic Vocational School on the estate Szkolne 26 (currently the Electrical School Complex No. 2 in Krakow), where he was the deputy headmaster, and in the years 1981–1983 - the school headmaster. He was the originator and organizer of the first editions of the Electric and Electronic Knowledge Olympiad, inaugurated in 1973. This Olympiad, initially interschool, later became regional, and from the 1990s - nationwide.
As a sports activist in the 1960s, he was the vice-president of the "Krakus" Interschool Sports Club in Nowa Huta. He was the president of the Board of the District School Sports Association Kraków - Nowa Huta; at the same time - in the years 1968–1988 - he was the vice-president of the Provincial School Sports Association in Krakow. At the end of the 1980s, he was vice-president and then president of the Provincial Commission of the Polish Olympic Committee in Krakow. In the years 1970–1982 he was a member and vice-president of the board of the Wanda club in Nowa Huta. In 1996, he was one of the founders of the Football Championship School.
From 1953 he belonged to the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers. In the years 1955–1961 he was the vice-president, and in the years 1961–2013 the president of the town circle of SEP No. 100. In the years 1994–2010 he was a member of the Branch Youth and Student Committee at SEP. For his work for the Association, he received the "Honoris Gratia" Badge, the medal of professor Mieczysław Pożaryski, diploma on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of SEP and the golden SEP Honorary Badge.
