Torgeir Børven (born December 3, 1991 in Øystese) - Norwegian footballer, who plays as a striker in Gaziantep FK. Top goalscorer of Eliteserien in the 2019 season.

Club career

A pupil of Øystese Fotball. In 2006–2007 he played for the club's first team. In the 2006 season, he was recognized as the best youth player of the year at this club. In 2007 he moved to Skien and entered the Toppidrettsgymnaset and Telemark sports school. This school cooperated with Odd Grenland, so he became a player of this club. He made his debut in the first team on May 13, 2009 in a 4-0 victory in the Norwegian Cup against Vestfossen IF, in which he scored a goal. In Tippeligaen he played for the first time on September 28, 2009 in the 2: 4 game against SK Brann, in which he also scored. On September 26, 2010, he scored 4 goals in a 5-0 win against Sandefjord Fotball, becoming the first Odd Grenland player since 1961 to do so. Before the 2012 season, Odd tried to sell Børven due to financial problems. The club reached an agreement with Aalesunds FK on the transfer of the player, but the club rejected the offer. In August 2012, he signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with Vålerenga. In December 2013, he signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with FC Twente. On February 2, 2014, he made his debut for the team in a 3-1 win against SC Cambuur, and three days later scored the first goal in a 2-0 win against sc Heerenveen. In August 2016, he was loaned to Brann until the end of the season with an option to buy. He made his debut for this club on August 27, 2016 in a match against FK Haugesund. In the 2016 season, he won the Norwegian vice-championship with Brann. At the end of the season, Brann did not buy out the player and he returned to the Netherlands, however in February 2017 he returned to Brann, signing a contract for three seasons. A year later, he signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Odds BK. After his return to this club, he played on March 11, 2018 against FK Haugesund (1-2), and scored his first goal on May 16, 2018 in a 5-0 win against Sandefjord Fotball. In the 2019 season, he scored 21 goals, making him the top scorer in the Norwegian league. On June 17, 2020, he signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Rosenborg BK, effective from August 1, 2020, however, on June 30, on the last day of the transfer window, Rosenborg agreed with Odd to immediately recruit a player. In September 2020, he signed a two-year contract with MKE Ankaragücü with an option to extend it for one year. In July 2021, he signed a three-year contract with Gaziantep FK with an option to extend for one year.

The youth representative of Norway in the U-21 and U-23 squad.

Personal life

He is a supporter of SK Brann. In 2007, he tried to enter the sports school in Bergen, an affiliate of the club, but was not accepted.
