The Great Russian Encyclopedia (Russian: Большая российская энциклопедия, БРЭ) - one of the largest universal encyclopedias in Russian, published in 36 volumes in the years 2004–2017. Issued by the publishing company of the same name, under the auspices of the Russian Academy of Sciences, under Presidential Decree No. 1156 of Vladimir Putin of 2002.
