Marcelo de Carvalho Miranda GOMM (Goiânia, October 10, 1961) is a Brazilian agriculturalist and politician affiliated with the Brazilian Democratic Movement (1980). Biography

Born in Goiânia, Marcelo de Carvalho Miranda is an agriculturalist. Son of Marly de Carvalho and José Edmar Brito Miranda, he is married to federal deputy Dulce Miranda (PMDB) with whom he has two children: Marcella and Guilherme. His connection with politics began in the state of Goiás, advising his father, then state deputy Brito Miranda, representative of the region of the former north of Goiás, today Tocantins, in the Legislative Assembly of that state.

Political career

He was elected state deputy for the first time in 1990, being re-elected in 1994 and 1998. For two consecutive times he presided over the Legislative Assembly of Tocantins.
