Sture Allén
Sture Allén (b. Gothenburg, 31 December 1928 – 20 June 2022) was a Swedish linguist and university professor, specialist in electronic linguistic data processing at the University of Gothenburg.
Swedish Academy
Allén held Chair 3 of the Swedish Academy, to which he was elected in 1980, and of which he was permanent secretary for the period 1986-1999.
Work
He published the Nusvensk frekvensordbok (1970-1980; "Frequency Dictionary of Contemporary Swedish").
Death
Allén died on June 20, 2022, at the age of 93.
