The position was restored in 1939. Rector Qualification Requirements

In Russia, the following qualification requirements for rectors have been established: higher professional education, additional professional education in the field of state and municipal administration, personnel management, project management, management and economics; the presence of an academic degree and academic title and (or) - in relation to educational organizations in the field of arts, physical culture and sports, theological and religious education - the presence of an honorary degree and (or) honorary title; the presence of at least 5 years of work experience in managerial positions in educational institutions of higher education or at least 10 years of total work experience in managerial positions and at least 5 years of experience in scientific or scientific-pedagogical activity.

Rector election procedure
