Julia ("Julia") is a 1977 American drama film directed by Fred Zinemann. The film is about the life of writer Lillian Hellman and her relationship with Julia, a girl who fought against the Nazis in World War II. It was filmed in England and France under the production of 20th Century Fox. The film was nominated for an Oscar in eleven categories, including Best Picture, and won three namely: Oscar for Best Supporting Actress - Vanessa Redgrave, Oscar for Best Supporting Actor - Jason Robards and Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay. This was the film debut of actress Meryl Streep.
