In the 2021/22 season. competes in the First League of Greece and in the FIBA Champions League.

KK AEK is the most successful sports club within AEK's sports society. AEK Basketball Club was the first Greek sports club to win an international trophy in any sport. The sports club AEK was founded in 1924, and the basketball club was founded in the same year.
