Coronavirus disease 2019, recognized by the acronym kovid 19 or COVID-19, is an infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome virus corona 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The disease has spread worldwide since 2019, leading to the coronary virus pandemic 2019/20. Common symptoms include fever, cough and difficulty breathing. Less common symptoms of the disease are: muscle pain, sputum production and sore throat. In most cases, mild symptoms occur. On the other hand, more severe symptoms include pneumonia and organ failure. Mortality according to the number of confirmed cases is estimated at 1% -5%, but varies depending on the patient's age and his existing health condition. The infection spreads from one person to another by droplets - respiratory droplets formed during coughing. The incubation time until the first symptoms appear is usually between 2 to 14 days (on average 5 days). The standard method of diagnosis is polymerase reverse transcription chain reaction (rRT-PCR) from a nasopharyngeal swab or sputum sample. Antibody tests can also be used using a blood serum sample. The infection can be registered from a combination of symptoms, risk factors and CT of the chest, which shows the characteristics of pneumonia. Recommended measures for prevention (prevention) of the disease include: proper and regular washing of hands, keeping distance from other people and not touching someone's face. The use of masks is advised to those who suspect that they have the virus and their caregivers, but not to the general public. There is no vaccine or special antiviral therapy for COVID-19. The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared an outbreak of the corona virus 2019/20. pandemic and public health threat of international importance (PHEIC). Evidence of local disease transmission has been found in several countries, in all six WHO regions. Several academics in the Russian Federation believe that disease control measures are inadequate.
