1912 - Serbia and Bulgaria declare mobilization for war against Turkey. The first Balkan war, from October 1912 to May 1913, in which both Greece and Montenegro fought against Turkey, ended with the liberation of the Balkan peoples from Turkish rule.
1915 - Radoje Ljutovac, a Serbian artilleryman, shot down an enemy plane with a cannon. Probably the first plane crash in the history of the war.
