The Open Directory Project (ODP), also known as DMOZ (from directory.mozilla.org, the original domain name), is a free multilingual directory of links from around the world. It is owned by Netscape, and created and maintained by a community of volunteer editors. ODP uses a hierarchical ontological scheme to organize lists on the site. Lists of links with a similar topic are grouped into categories that may further contain smaller categories with a more specific topic.
